Tonight closely resembled Thursday. It started out pretty promising, with a custody dispute. The father took the kid from the mother's fiance, right in front of me, and there was nothing I could do about it. It really pissed me off, because the poor kid was stuck in the middle. The father kept referring to him as if he were property in which he he had a 50% interest.
I had an alarm call at a local yarn shop. Thank goodness I am not a knitter, so I wasn't tempted to linger when I found an open door. I haven't been so peeved in a long time, as I was with what happened at the call. I wasn't originally dispatched to it; Corey and Aaron were. But I was close by, so I said I would go. They cancelled Corey. I got there and found the open door, and advised Dispatch. They confirmed what I said and verified my location. I waited for Aaron to get there so we could clear the building and re-secure the door. While I'm waiting, outside the open door, not knowing if there are suspects inside the business or not, Corey drives RIGHT PAST ME. I was pissed! While Aaron and I were inside, the Lieutenant drove up. Needless to say, he got an earful. And he made a note. We'll see what happens next.
A little while later, I was standing around chatting with Jimmy and Johnny, when a concerned citizen stopped to tell us that the front doors to the Baptist church were standing wide open, the building was dark, and there was no one around. So Johnny and I cleared a HUGE church for our exercise for the night.
And that was the extent of our excitement for the day.
As for Cynthia, I gave her a little test. She failed miserably. I had told her to be here at noon today to begin cleaning up her mess and show me how badly she wants to move back in here. She showed up at 2, as I was leaving for work. I let her stay to work on it, but I gave her some ground rules. 1. Stay out of my bedroom. 2. Do not eat my food. 3. If you borrow/use anything, put it back. 4. Leave my house looking exactly like it did when I left for work.
Needless to say, she broke every one of them. I stopped by to see how she was progressing, found her in my bed. She had taken my stereo out of my bedroom to put in her room. When I came home and went to get my nightly bowl of ice cream, she had gotten into that. And left a glass in my bedroom. She's not even living here and it's sent my IBS into a tailspin.
**huge sad sigh**

I guess it was an
open door policy" kind of day, both at work and at home. I'm sorry Cynthia failed her test.

Oh Darya, I soooo feel for you with Cynthia. That girl doesn't know how lucky she is to have the million chances she's had!
You know Darya, donuts do not have that many calories. Heck, there's a hole in the middle and that's zero calories right there! lol..you're daily adventures crack me up although, I don't think you need the child adventures after you clock out from work.
