I have felt kinda crappy all day. The weather has turned cold and wintry again. I woke up with a migraine headache yesterday and, for the first time in about 2 years, I called in sick to work. I think the effect of the Percoset I took was worse than the headache. I still had the headache when I got up today, but if I had continued to lay in bed, other things would have started hurting.
My sister-in-law invited us (Cynthia, me and Thomas) out for dinner and Cynthia told my dad today that she is pregnant. My mom already knew, but she wanted Cynthia to tell him herself. The old adage, "Worrying about the whooping is worse than the actual whooping," is so true. She walked in the door, handed my mom the sonogram pictures, then just blurted out to my dad, "I'm pregnant." He didn't say anything, and she said, "It was an accident."
His response was, "I didn't think it was on purpose."
She said, "It's a girl." And that was pretty much the end of it. He asked my mom a little later if she knew, and she said she did. He hasn't mentioned it again. Pretty much as I expected.
I took these today. She is 20 weeks pregnant:

I went out today and bought a pink photo album/scrapbook to start documenting the life of my granddaughter. It was fun to buy cutesy-pink stuff!
And new shoes for Grandmommy! I bought a red dress a couple weeks ago, but alas, no red shoes. I found some cute ones today AND I had a $10 coupon for DSW. Can't beat that!
Well, I'm settling in for a little television before hitting the hay a little early tonight.

Hope you're feeling better. I think changing weather fronts cause a lot of physical ills.

Hope your headache is a thing of the past now. At least today turned out to be a beautiful day. I was getting sick of that rain! I'm glad your Dad took the news okay. Cynthia looks great. I'm so excited for you.
Hugs,
Karen
